Sacred Corn Mother

This is a song that always brings me into the present moment with a renewed sense of foundation and inexhaustible support. Whatever our story after being born, we all come through a woman, a mother. I’ve added a couple of words to acknowledge other aspects of the Sacred Mother.

For me, the Corn Mother is She Who Nourishes in this Place, acknowledging those that came before me on this land. The Great Mother is She Who Nourishes the World, with gratitude for Mother of all life on earth and beyond. The Grandmother is She Who Nourishes Your Bones, the benevolent ancestor, known and unknown, going back as far as you wish to imagine.
