brown sugar gently exfoliates the skin.
calendula (officinalis) is astringent, antiseptic, anti fungal, and antibacterial. its flowers are reported to bloom at the new moon.
cocoa butter is one of the main ingredients in chocolate! it’s also a natural moisturizer that enhances the skin’s elasticity.
coffee is reported to heal many skin ailments including allergies, acne, and wrinkles.
essential oils are so anti fungal, anti microbial, and antibacterial, their use in large amounts can alter the stomach’s digestive action. also, did you know it takes pounds and tons of plant material to make one ounce of oil? for these reasons, i currently use a minimal amount in my products.
flowers such as rose, calendula, and lavender are included in fresh face scrub. lavender is a well known anti-infective and mood elevator. roses are astringent and tonifying, not to mention gorgeous.
grains such as oats and cornmeal are included in fresh face scrub to balance the skin. oats soften and add moisture, while cornmeal gently exfoliates and is indicated for oily skin.
honey has been used for thousands of years as a natural wound healer and beauty treatment. it has anti-microbial properties, which means it inhibits the growth of certain bacteria, and is a natural antioxidant, protecting the skin from UV rays.
sea salts used in float bath salts contain trace minerals that are absorbed through the skin as you soak away tension and muscle stress.
seaweeds used in float bath salts contain vitamins and minerals that aid in the regeneration and stimulation of skin cells.
shea butter is collected by boiling, drying, and grinding the pit from inside the fruit of the long-living african mangifolia tree, making it an abundant and renewable natural resource. this butter contains vitamins a and e which makes it highly effective for skin regeneration. shea butter has also been indicated for easing muscle strain. |

burdock root; arctium lappa
burdock works slowly and deeply to nourish the immune, nervous, and glandular systems. consistent use of the infusion relieves hot skin conditions like acne & rashes. burdock contains iron, protein, and fiber. burdock root infusions and tinctures are used to treat cancer & dissolve tumors. burdock works well with dandelion.
calendula; calendula officinalis
calendula is a cooling herb and relieves heated skin conditions like abrasions and fungal infections. the dried blossoms can be ground into powder and used to heal yeast infections
& athlete’s foot. the infused oil is used to dissolve breast lumps, and drinking an infusion
in water eases digestion, counters viral infections, and tones the liver. it is also known
to attract money.
chew stick (licorice root); glycyrrhiza glabra
chew sticks assist digestion, clean teeth, and provide a natural way to help quit smoking cigarettes. glycyrrhizin, a compound found in licorice root, is said to treat a long list of ailments including depression, colds, viral and fungal infections, and sore throat.
copal; bursera
copal has a deep musky scent. it can be burned to encourage reverent and meditative states.
cronewort (mugwort); artemisia vulgaris
dried cronewort can be burned to promote peaceful sleep & encourage prophetic dreams. it can be mixed and burned with resins like copal & myrrh for spiritual protection. fresh cronewort leaves infused in vinegar strengthen the urinary, digestive, circulatory, and nervous systems.
damiana; turmera aphrodisiaca
damiana is often used as an aphrodisiac, even its botanical name indicates its use for this purpose. brewed as tea, or burned as incense, damiana attracts love & stimulates the libido.
dragon’s blood; sanguis draconis
burn dragon’s blood for protection and to attract love & money. mix with camphor to cleanse a new space.
dandelion root; taraxacum officinale
dandelion is truly a plant of many uses. the blossoms, leaves, and roots are all edible and beneficial to overall health. dandelion root is extremely nourishing to the liver. especially strengthening to the solar plexus, dandelion is a remover of blockages and can heal damage done from alcohol and drug abuse. infusions of dandelion root provide calcium, iron, and protein and tone the digestive, lymphatic, and immune systems. the circulatory, urinary, and glandular systems are also aided by dandelion. the tincture or vinegar infusion of dandelion root is a known appetite stimulant. some say drinking a tea made from dandelion root can promote prophetic dreams.

frankincense calms the mind and encourages meditative states. sacred to the sun god ra. burn for purification & protection and to deepen the breath.
jasmine; jasminum officinale
jasmine is often enjoyed as a tea. it is said to stimulate creativity and can be mixed with other botanicals to attract love and honor the lunar cycles.

lemon balm; melissa officinalis
lemon balm is a soothing herb often used for its anti-depressant & anti-viral properties. infused in oil, lemon balm can heal and prevent herpes outbreaks. infused in water, lemon balm can ensures a peaceful sleep, eases menstrual cramping, and relieves digestive distress. lemon balm is also used to raise self-esteem and attract love.

mullein leaves nourish the entire respiratory system. an infusion of the leaves relieves congestion and coughs. the infused oil of mullein flowers is used to heal ear infections.
nettle; urtica dioica
nettle nourishes the circulatory, immune, and nervous systems. infusions of nettle are high in calcium, iron, and protein. frequent use has been known to heal allergies, joint aches, skin irritations, and fatigue.
oatstraw; avena sativa
oatstraw is anti-inflammatory and strengthens the heart, nervous system, and reproductive organs. infusions of oatstraw provide calcium, iron, and protein. oatstraw has also been known to promote lucid dreaming.
patchouli leaf; pogostemon patchouli
patchouli has been used for centuries to protect silk & wool rugs shipped from countries like Persia and India. it is anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-depressant, and anti-inflammatory. also known as an aphrodisiac, patchouli can be burned or carried to attract love & money. a blend containing patchouli can also break a jinx.
peppermint; mentha piperita
