I've been studying herbal medicine and making natural skin care products
since 2000. i began selling these creations at local markets and
eventually opened a bricks and mortar location December 2006 in
Richmond’s historic Shockoe Bottom neighborhood. The shop offered a unique
selection of wearable and wall art, in addition to my handcrafted body
care, incense and oils. I accepted some work on consignment and enjoyed
providing the surrounding community with guilt-free gifts they wouldn't see
anywhere else. About a year after moving to a
more central location in October 2010, i decided to close the storefront to focus my efforts on the web and in stores. Stay tuned for the next chapter of House of Lukaya!
